Cots 4 Tots – A Charity That Helps Families With Neonatal Intensive Care

Cots for Tots provides a place to stay close to the hospital for families with babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. It is run by the Great Appeal, the dedicated charity for Bristol Children’s Hospital. Abbey Silvester ran in support of the AJ Bell Great Bristol Run.

If your child is at the age of readiness for bed, you should move them to a bed. This will help prevent resentment toward their new sister. It may also help them sleep better.

The Cots 4 Tots story

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, a nonprofit organization, helps to support the Marine Corps toy drive. It offers financial, advisory, administrative logistical, and promotional support to local Toys for Tots Coordinators and many other services that the Marine Corps cannot provide. It also distributes informational and educational materials to the public and arranges for national corporations to incorporate information about Toys for Tots into their paid advertisements, and also runs an annual program of public education and public relations.

The Cots 4 Tots story began in the year 2010 with a fundraising appeal to Bristol’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Michael’s Hospital. The charity has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds since its beginning, helping families with sick or premature babies in the West of England and South Wales. Its mission is to provide families with accommodation houses and state-of-the-art equipment for the NICU.

Cots for Tots House provides an “home away from home” for families who are staying in the hospital. It is located right next to the NICU, allowing parents to be close to their babies. The charity has helped more than 2100 families stay at the house since.

Families who live at Cots for Tots House can be reassured that they are not alone. They can discuss their experiences with other parents going through the exact same thing. They also have access to a wide range of facilities to make their stay as comfortable as it can be.

The charity also supports a music therapist who visits the NICU to ease the stress and pain levels of infants and their parents. It has been demonstrated that this improves the quality of life for patients and their families. Music therapy can decrease the amount of time needed to treat children, saving hospitals time and money. The therapist utilizes specially-designed resonant instruments that are tuned to specific frequencies and play soothing music for babies. The resonant musical instruments also help relax fathers and mothers.

The Cots 4 Tots website

The Cots 4 Tots website is the home of a special charity that is raising funds for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol. The charity is part of Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal, and it also supports Cots for Tots House which offers free home-from-home accommodation to families whose children are treated in the neonatal intensive care unit. The charity has assisted thousands of families over the past decade.

Abbey Silvester’s two kids, Alfie and Mollie, both spent time in the neonatal intensive care unit at St Michael’s Hospital. She claims Cots for Tots was “an absolute blessing”, and her family and her would not have been capable of coping without it. “You meet new friends here, you build an environment that is welcoming and you love each other,” said she. “Without it, who knows what our lives might look like?”

It is essential to make the right decision for your baby when choosing a cot. There are many sizes and styles to choose from and you must consider the things you want to consider long-term. A cot should be strong and have a good railing. It should also be easy to clean and have a mattress that can be removed. Some cots have a height-adjustable base, which is perfect for parents with small children.

Moving is a stressful time for any person, but it’s more difficult for parents who must deal with the added challenges of a new baby. But, by making a few key preparations and hiring a car transport service early, you can ensure that your move goes smoothly.
